It was a cold Thursday evening in January, but that didn't prevent 500 fans of cheese and beer from filling a banquet room at the Marriott in Baltimore, Maryland's Inner Harbor to taste Cabot Cheeses paired with Clipper City beers.
National reps from Cabot were in attendance as well as farmers from the Cabot Cooperative. All met and greeted the fans of Cabot Cheese. Clipper City's General Partner Hugh Sisson and Territory Manager Thomas Cizauskas were there to represent the beer.
It was the rare occasion at which I could actually introduce Hugh Sisson as the Big Cheese. And for that, I offer my apologies to Beverly Baker, Sandy Levesque, Roberta McDonald, and all the other Cabot Cheese reps, whom, I'm certain, have heard that stale comment (not the cheese) more times than they care to remember!
Cabot had created a glossy pamphlet for the event which described the pairings and offered beer and cheese cooking recipes. (Hard copies are available through Clipper City's website.)
